Today I thought I would glance through the newspaper, and find an interesting news story about which to comment upon in my blog. However, upon looking through my newspaper I have decided that that was apparently a crap idea, and so I will be forced to blog about the disappointing nature of news.
There is no good news these days. The paper is always just full of pictures of Kate Middleton, and/or various older female celebrities with their toyboy lovers. The sport is still OK, its just always seems to be out of date by the time its published. Newspapers can no longer keep up with internet based news sites, sites that can update their stories live as they happen. Something that is good about newspapers though is the puzzle section. There is no good way to do a crossword or a Sudoku on a laptop. It just doesn't have the same appeal if you can just put letters/numbers in willy-nilly and delete them again if they turn out wrong. With a pen, and some paper, there is a thrill and a risk of writing a letter in. An irreversible action that could ruin that game forever.
