I am currently, at the time of writing, 18 years of age, having entered the world of humanity on the 1st October 1993. This makes me the eldest blogger out of the two of us, and, currently, the only one who can legally drink alcohol. I currently am in my second year of College here in England, which I believe equates to being in the Senior Year of High School. Whilst at my “High School” I study Physics, Modern History, Politics and Economics, I used to also study Resistant Materials, which is just a fancy way of saying Wood Tech. I dropped RM, as those students who do it call it, because I do not get along well with the lathe or the milling machine or any of the other high powered machines that had the potential to grievously injure me. Similarly to Alex, I am regarded by many, not least of all myself, as quite an intelligent chap. However, in contrast to him, I underachieved at GCSE level but then picked my game up for my A-Levels being predicted results along the lines of AAB as well as an AB at AS-Level. But enough bragging from me now, I’ll start a new paragraph about sport, following Alex’s format.
Sports I enjoy include Football and Athletics. I’m not much of a sportsman beyond that really, but I do watch a bit of Wimbledon if it’s on or Rugby is it’s not at 7am like the recent world cup was. The most dominant sport in my life is, like Alex, football. I play football every week for the same 5-a-side team as Alex does, the now infamous Young Boys. As a team we aren’t very good, but we all know it’s the taking part that counts. (I joke, it’s about winning). The team I follow is the far less glory-supporter based Charlton Athletic, whom I’m sure most of you haven’t heard of. Charlton are currently top of the English League One, which, despite being called One, is the third tier of English Football. On a different sporting note, I occasionally dress up in armour padding and a face-mask with a friend of mine who isn’t Alex and do some HEMA. That’s Historic European Martial Arts. Think of it like Karate, but from 16th Century Europe with a sword.Despite what Alex said in his blog about me being the man to consult on Politics, I don’t really have much idea what’s happening politically. I would regard myself as a Conservative, but according to a survey we did in class, I’m a Liberal Democrat, something I find quite upsetting. Musically, I have an awful, awful, awful taste in artists and bands. Amongst my favourite artists there are the Scissor Sisters, Mika and the far less homosexual Franz Ferdinand. Also, sometimes I watch X Factor.
I have a sister, much like Alex, but mine is two years older. She is called Vikki and is currently at university. My mother recently turned 50 and works part-time as a gardener, mainly working on rhododendrons. My father is merely 49 and he does something to do with analysing pension plans, I think. I asked my mum and she doesn’t even know what he does. He’s probably a spy.Physically, I am slightly taller than Alex at roughly 5’ 11”, which to give a celebrity comparison, equates to all the people listed here. My weight, however, is only about 55kg give or at least it was approximately that last time I checked. This makes me officially underweight to a dangerous level. I have a size 10 foot but can still squeeze into a 9 if I so desire. My clothing of choice for home-based lounging is the pyjama, the classy type with a collar and buttons.
Well, now you know everything you need to know about me, that you probably didn’t already know, unless you happen to be one of mine and Alex’s actual friends who still read this blog (unlikely that you are).
