Ledge - Up until I decided that I was really cool and that the easiest way to show this was by using cool lingo and slang I would have defined this as a cliff face or physical structure, however now as the coolest guy going I use the term ledge as a shorter word for legend. And I'm sure you don't need it explained to you that by legend I don't mean a fable or story, more a "top bloke" I believe that's the in phrase.
Recently a orange haired ledge left my life, and I'm going to miss Paul Scholes. Also recently a really tall ledge from across the pond decided to hang up his stupidly large sneakers and call it a day. Shaquille O'Neal as he is formally referred to is not just a hoop shooting athlete, however I'm sure our cross-Atlantic readers will also know that he is an academic, a kind of police man, an entirely average rapper and actor, plus a mixed martial artist and finally a full time hero.
I have countless heroes, Shaq not being the only plus seven foot basketball, Wilt Chamberlain joins him with that accolade. Other people who tickle my fancy are Boris Johnson, Chris Kamara, Jeff Stelling, Jimmy Carr and Patrick Milnes. So if any of you (obviously not you Wilt) read the blog and want to meet up for coffee, just let me know :) And also Pat, we're not going for coffee.
