Istanbul (not Constantinople) - Paddy

The title of the blog is largely irrelevant to it's subject matter. I titled it thusly because I have the song Istanbul (not Constantinople) by the Four Lads stuck in my head.
A more appropriate title for this post would have perhaps been along the lines of "Wet and Windy" or some other observation of the weather. Currently the weather in my local area of the UK is, as you may have inferred, wet and windy and it feels like it has been so for about the last 27 days. That number may be an exaggeration, but that's what British people do when it comes to weather, we exaggerate and moan. It's either cold and wet for weeks at a time or too hot and full of news reports of hosepipe bans and dying grandmas. We do this to our weather reporting because we are a horrible pessimistic nation who are only happy when we aren't happy. We laugh at the suffering of each other because we are that sadistic. If Alex were to chop part of his anatomy off accidentally (NO! Not that part), my first reaction would be to laugh at him as blood spurts from wherever he is now missing his body. Why? Because it's funny to see Alex in pain, I'm sure he'd do the same to me.
I am going to get dressed now. Yeah, I was blogging in my pyjamas at 2.30 in the afternoon, don't judge me.
